Hillary was hot tonight. They were both good, and they were both nice to each other.
But man, Hillary was stunning. This old man's heart is racing. She's got a pretty smile. a most endearing guffaw, a presidental bearing, and (phew!) incredible mind. Just a little more below the fold:
Hillary LOVES the sting of battle. She was having so much fun. And she got off some great lines:
"It took a Clinton to clean up the last Bush mess, and that's what it will take this time too" "In Spring of 2003, no one knew how obsessed this president was with the Iraq mission" "We need to tell the Republicans we are strong as they are (in foreign policy) and far more effective" "I have asked Barack to join me in pushing legislation ..." (I forget what the legislation is, but the important thing is that she managed to make him look like a junor partner).
Finally, I don't want to turn this into a hit diary, but one thing became crystal clear to me in this debate. And that is;
Much like Bill Richardson (and this put me off about him), Obama mostly restates the problems rather than being specific about solutions. He can speak for a long time just expanding on the issue: "We have people dying in Iraq"; "We have people who are poor", that kind of thing).
Hillary, in contrast, was chopping the air with point after point after point.
