The e-mail came out either late Wednesday or early Thursday, asking the membership to vote over the following 24 hours, with the results to be reported on Friday.

There are many core democratic and progressive voters who actually -- gasp -- have to WORK for a living.
Many of these people also have children or elders to care for, and other family responsibilities. Therefore, many of this group -- the group that progressives are supposedly fighting for (certainly the people that JOHN EDWARDS was fighting for) are simply not able to get online and vote in the short notice they were given.
On the other hand, the Obama people (judging by this site and others) seem to have nothing ELSE to do but sit around and write blogs and participate in online polls.
Therefore it was a crappy and bogus "election" and moveon.org, of all organizations, should have known better. In my book they have forfeited their right to call themselves progressive. They are arrogant and ungrateful.
I submitted my "resignation" as soon as I heard the results. I regret the contributions of time and money I have given them over the years.
